This weekend is already half way over and I didn't get half the things done on my list! But at least I manage to do one more xmas card when mnanage to play along with Impression Obsession's White Challenge. Now the white challenge was definetely that, a challenge! But I had this idea in my head for days and no time to sit down and do anything until now. I really couldn't play much with the idea, since I was already running late for the deadline of this challenge, so this was a fast card, mistakes and all! :)
Here is my take on this challenge. I tried to capture the shimmer of the paper, which took me a bit of time when I was already running late! :)

This ornament from the IO Fancy Ornaments set is so PRETTY, I really enjoyed dressing it up with rinestones. I stamped this image with embossing ink on DCWV The Shimmer Stack paper and used fine opaque embossing powder, then cut it out. The snowflake is cut using my Cricut When It's Cold Outside cartridge and I used my Cuttlebog embossing folders to emboss the base card shaped like a tag.
Really glad I got to emboss on this card, usually not something I think to do and I had a blast doing it. I also like the end result, this ornament looks so elegant embossed.
Thank you for stopping by and Happy Holiday cardmaking everyone! :)

OCC Inspiration Challenge - 4 Calling Birds
Labels: Cricut, Hero Arts, Martha StewartLast week, I got an email from the very talented Jenny Gropp from One Krafty Kat asking me if I wanted to be a guest stamper on the Our Creative Corner (OCC) today. My first reaction was "Who me???" and then "OH YES, I WOULD" and then ... I got nervous! :) LOL! This is a site that I got introduce to through the many eye popping creations by Jenny Gropp and it has become one of my favorite inspirational sites!
The OCC challenge today is an inspiration challenge where the fabulous hostess, Jenny Gropp, is asking us to create a project using a line from the last verse of the "12 Days of Christmas Song" :) - how clever is that? For my take on this OCC challenge, I decided to use the line that seems more catchy to me: "Four calling birds". :)
For the garland frame card, I used my darling Cricut and A Child's Year cartridge. This cartridge has some very nice frame shape cards in addition to fonts and silhouettes. I then used a Martha Stewart branch punch to add some green to the garland; really like the dimension it adds. These CUTE birdies are from Hero Arts Holiday Doves; they make the perfect calling birds, providing some much needed assistance decorarting the tree. I added some yellow and pink pebbles to act as blinking lights on the garland :)
This was such a FUN challenge! Totally enjoyed myself making this card! One more card done and a few many to go :) But if you need some inspiration, you may want to check out the Our Creative Corner (OCC) today.
Supplies:
xmas tree - Hero Arts Laughter & Merriment
birdies - Hero Arts Holiday Dove
garland frame card - cut at 5 3/4'' using Cricut A Child's Year Cartridge

Chirper Challenge - Create a Holiday Gift
Labels: Chirper Challenge, Cricut, Martha StewartLast week I received very exciting news! I was chosen as a Design Team member for Chirper Challenge! Before submitting my wish to join, I thought about it long and hard, I do enjoy using my Cricut and finding time to do so is always a challenge in itself; but I came across Chirper Challenge shortly after it got started and I have enjoyed seeing what the Design Team has come up with; simple, great looking projects. What I like most about the challenges is that they are pretty generic, blank canvases to insert your own creativity and they are bi-weekly so totally doable for someone like me! :)
In joining the Design Team, it will also challenge me to play along some very talented gals. I am hoping to inspire other to come and play along, getting use out of all those great cartridges or cuts that are possible using the Cricut.
For this round of Chirper Challenge we were to Create a Holiday Gift.

I bought this amazing looking handmade bracelet that I will be gifting to friend this xmas. I will be putting it in this little bag that meassures a perfect 3'' by 5'' by 1 1/2''. The ornament is cut using the Joys of the Season Cricut cartridge and it is free to dangle like a tag. Behind it I have stamped, Merry Christams and to/from. I got to use a new Martha Stewart punch that I picked up recently, really like it. And for those who know me, I really do not like to tie bows, so that in itself was challenge enough! :) but it makes a nice way to open/close this FUN looking bag.
Have a great holiday weekend, everyone and Happy Crafting!

Let's Eat / Thanksgiving Invites
Labels: Cat's Pajamas, CricutThis year, my friend ask me to help her out with her Thanksgiving invites. It was a last minute thing and I had to come up with something quick... so I let her "borrow" my Thanksgiving invites idea that I previously posted for the Cat's Pajamas Gobble It Up blog hop.
So I had to come up with something different for my own Thanksgiving invites! :) Here is what I came up with:
I used my Cricut Speaking of Fall cartridge to make this three-fold cards; this cartridge is so much fun to use, especially during this time of year, letters are made up of fall theme icons - turkey, pumpkins, fall leaves. This turkey makes a "D" :) and one of the feature of this cartridge is a three-fold card. I cut some fall leaves to add more dimension to the card and added a felt nut to add texture. The sentiment is from TCP Gobble It Up set; straight and to the point! :)
Here is what the inside looks like:
I printed the invitation information on matching pp and added another felt nut along with fall leaves pp to tie the look of the inside to the outside. I am pretty happy on how it turned out!
Supplies:
"Let's Eat" - The Cat's Pajamas newly released Gobble It Up set
turkey three-fold card - cut at 4 1/2'' using Cricut Speaking of Fall Cartridge and Cricut Design Studio
fall leaves - cut at 3 1/4" using Cricut Speaking of Fall Cartridge and Cricut Design Studio
DCWV Texture paper, DCWV Indian Summer Fall Stack
EK edge punch (inside)
M's button
Target felt nut $ bin
Momento Rich Cocoa ink

TCP Challenge TCPTUES84 / ESS Sketch #60
Labels: Cat's Pajamas, Cricut, ESS Sketch, TCP Tuesday ChallengeLast week TCP Tuesday Challenge was hosted by Susan who brought us a TCP stamp challenge; where we were to use any TCP December holiday stamp :). Immedietely I chose to go with my oh so awesome new TCP Give A Little set that was just released. Among the many FUN images on this set, there is this cute little penguin surrounded with lights and holiding an ornament, ready to decorate that tree!
For inspiration, I turned to this week ESS Sketch #60; and what a great layout this sketch makes!
Here is my take on these two challenges.
With this sketch Tracy Clemente gives us a nice big accent that is held by a ribbon-like element. For the accent, I wanted to use a fancy frame that went with the pp I chose; I found this in the Cricut Home Decor cartridge. With a little help from Cricut Design Studio, I was able layer it to make it more fancy and paper pierced it to match the stitch look of the green ribbon.
Isn't this little festive penguin ADORABLE? ALL of the new TCP sets just rock! I just hope I get time to play with them all. As it is, I have been really itching to ink this image for a bit now! So tonight I just had to :) I used glaze glue and glitter to add dimenssion and bling to the ornament he is holding; that was a lot of FUN! Hard to tell, but I also used glaze pens to color the lights. I found this nice red felt ribbon that was perfect with this layout.
I had such a great time making this card, and I simply had FUN playing with glitter, glaze and ribbons! Another xmas card done, and plenty to go! :)
Thanks for stopping by and have a good one!

Rejoice / ESS Sketch #59
Labels: Cricut, ESS Sketch, Martha Stewart, studio GLast week I received the Snow Friend Cricut Cartridge and I have been really wanting to play with it, I think the various snowmen cuts are adorable, expressive and FUN! So tonight I had a chance to play!
I had in mind to use this week's Sketchy Thursday ESS Sketch #59, and as always, it was lots of FUN!
Here is my take on this week challenge:

Tracy Clemente inspired sketch brings together so many layers while at the same time not looking so busy; and that cirlce frame is such a nice snow globe look to go with this cute little dancing snowman. I used snowflakes as the accents. I was able to use my Cricut and Cricut Design Studio to create the snow globe look I was looking for. The sentiment "Rejoice" is from a studio G $ stamp and I fits nicely with the happy dancing snowman. The papers are from last year DCWV Christmas Stack and Provo Craft Holiday Slab V. Adding the red gems to the blue snowflakes is a nice look.
I really like how this card came together, how it makes a lively and FUN christmas card. I have quite a few more christmas cards to make, but I'm glad I got one less now :)
Have a great Thursday and thanks for stopping by! :)
Supplies:
"Rejoice" - studio G stamp

snow globe look - cut using Cricut Zooballoo Cartridge and Cricut Design Studio

TCP Challenge TCPTUES83
Labels: Cat's Pajamas, Cricut, TCP Tuesday Challenge
I took one look at this sketch and my eyes brighten up when I saw the circles framed by scallop circles; and what a great idea to offset them off the edge of the card like that! FUN!!!While looking at my TCP stamps, I came across these 3 amigos penguins, and I just had to ink them! Aren't they adorable? They are part of The TCP Kitty Christmas set, and it is one whole image so I knew I had to mask them to seperate them out but it was totally worth it! I really like how this card came out! See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil - how FUN is that? And the very appropriate sentiment, "Naughty or Nice?" is stamped inside. I pulled these pattern papers from last year DCWV Christmas stack - really like that xmas trees pp and am crazy about the different holiday color combination that grey, black, pink and small splash of red make so I just used those colors throughout.
Had a great time making this holiday card last night. Made me feel proactive to get another xmas card checked off! :)
Before I run, I wanted to mention that if you love the TCP xmas images like this one I just used, there are new TCP Christmas sets being released today and to celebrate that the TCP Design Team is having a Holiday Hop so you can see in action how AMAZING these new christmas sets are! Hop on by!

November Month Scrapbook Calendar Page
Labels: Cricut, CuttleBug, S.E.I.I was able to finish my scrapbook page for the month of November created for my 2009 S.E.I. Calendar. I am so sad to find out that S.E.I will not be making a 2010 S.E.I. Calendar kit :( ; I 've been doing this for 3 years now and I come to enjoy them very much; I looked around for other calendar kits, but found them to be less of a blank canvas which means less room for me to put my own personal touches. Plus most of them are not 12x12, but as small as 6x6! And I refuse to buy a blank calendar where I have to write in the months and dates myself! No way! :) But I will have to figure something out, because I do want to do a calendar for next year. Will have to see.
I also wanted to play with this week Simon Says Challenge, where Simon Says....Give Thanks! A very fitting challenge for this month :). I am a little surprise how close Thanksgiving Day is - pretty much around the corner!
This is my take on the challenge:

ESS Sketch #58 / IO Wreath Challenge
Labels: ESS Sketch, IO Stamps, Martha StewartThe first week of November has started off a little bit choppy; I caught a nasty cold that has zap a lot of my energy and made me a bit miserable. But since I slept most of the day away, I am burning the midnight oil right now, getting a chance to play in this week's Sketchy Thursday ESS Sketch #58. I also wanted to participate in the bi-weekly Impression Obsession's stamp challenge where they are currently having A Wreath Card Challenge.
This is my take on these two challenges:
I used this ESS sketch that Tracy Clemente created featuring a nice big circle with some fun circular embelishment to accent the circular frame. I thought this sketch went perfectly with the image I had in mind and that the circular embelishment were just right for using some gems. For the IO Wreath Challenge, I wanted to use this fancy looking wreath from the Fancy Ornaments set along with this sentiment that fits so nicely. I used Martha Stewart pine branch punch to border the image, and I think it gives the card a FUN look :). I used pink gems on the wreath to match last year DCWV Christmas Stack pattern papers. I really like the way the pink looks combined with red and green on these pattern papers.

For those who may not know, we are having a TCP Blog Hop, and you are just in time! As part of this hop, both of these newly released stamp sets, Gobble It Up thanksgiving set and Babydoll alpha set, will be given away to a very lucky winner. To qualify, you must post a comment on the blog of each person in the blog hop. This very lucky winner will be announced on Friday, October 23rd on Alma's blog (Cat's Pajamas owner).
These new stamps are truly swanky and so much FUN to use! Every year we are blessed with hosting a thanksgiving dinner for the family. I make invitation cards for those who are joining us and thanksgiving cards for those who are far but in our thoughts. I also do a little something for each family who joined us for dinner to thank them for joining us. My husband outdoes himself in the kitchen, cooking the turkey and while I take care of the trimmings! We have a lot of FUN doing it!
When I got this new Gobble It Up thanksgiving set, my eyes hone in on Poochie and that image of a delicious cooked turkey on a serving tray - and immediately I knew I had to use these images for this year invites!
This makes such an appropriate invite - the hubby looks as proud as Poochie does after he takes his turkey out of the oven :) !!!

ESS Sketch #55 / IO Challenge
Labels: CuttleBug, ESS Sketch, IO StampsI have been running a bit behind all week, no suprise that I'm so late posting this card for last week Sketchy Thursday ESS Sketch #55, definetely playing catch up! I also wanted to participate in the bi-weekly Impression Obsession's stamp challenge where they are currently having A Winter Card Challenge.
Don't those xmas stockings look AMAZING? So full of details and so much FUN to color! This Ice Skate Stockings image is from Impression Obscession and inking this was a joy! :) I bought a few more IO stamps just in time for the holidays and I am hoping to get a chance to ink them as well
I know the challenge called for a winter card, and I thought this ice skates image fit nicely! I had to cut off the bow on top because I wanted to add the twine and matching button. The pattern paper is from a Provo Craft Holiday Slab V that I picked up a few years ago and I really like how they coordinate. I colored the blades metallic gold and added a few golden brad to match. I also added a piece of kraft paper embossed with my cuttlebug wood grain folder to add a bit of texture.
I have to tell you, I had a FUN time making this card even if I did take my time putting it together. It definetely put me a holiday mood! One more xmas card done...and many to go! :)
Thanks for stopping by! :)

TCP Challenge TCPTUES79
Labels: Cat's Pajamas, Martha Stewart, TCP Tuesday ChallengeI got a little late start on this week TCP Tuesday Challenge, hosted by Leigh; I got this card done a piece at a time :) ... but when it finally came together, I was glad I got a chance to ink this oh so cute "COOL friends" image from the Cat's Pajamas Deck the Hall swanky set.
This is my take on this challenge:
I have done a few xmas cards so far but I have a long way to go still. I really like the color combination in the DCWV Christmas stack pattern paper; a little different from the traditional xmas colors. I added pink color stickles to the flakes on the pattern paper to tie in the pink a bit more. I got to use the my new Martha Stewart flake punch, really like the dainty look of this snowflake. And that sentiment does make me smile! :)
Thanks for stoppin by, have a good one! :)

Boo! / ESS Sketch #54
Labels: Cricut, ESS Sketch, Hero Arts, Simon Says StampI still need to make few more Halloween cards before I move on to the rest of the holiday season. Actually, I've already had to start my xmas list! But I am going to try to be in denial for a little while longer!
This is my take on a few challenges I decided to play along with:
I didn't want to miss playing along with this week ESS Sketch #54, where Tracy Clemente brings us a cute simple sketch with cleans lines and ribbon/bow of some kind as the accent. I sometimes can be a bit too literal so I decided I was going to think outside the box and somehow ended up thinking that a small bat cut using my Cricut was a nice leap. And yes, Tinla I so agree - this sketch also includes a great spot to use a FUN edge punch!I also wanted to join this week Simon Says Challenge where the challenge for this week is Halloween!!! Boo!!! - did I mention I can be too literal sometimes? :) But I could not resist the perfect opportunity to use this cute Hero Arts Owl-Oween set that I have been holding on to for about a year now and have not seen ink! I used the fun Martha Stewart goo edge punch and a button to top off the bat, reminded me of the eyes on the pattern paper. I also used my Cricut Child's Year cartridge to cut the fancy border that I use to accent the scary little ghost!
