BBTB2 Give Thanks Challenge Inspired

I often find myself enjoying the creative postings found in Bitten By the Bug 2 blog; gives me inspirations on how to use the many many many Cricut cuts available.  I decided to participate in last week Give Thanks Challenge to make a few cards.

This is what I came up with for the challenge:

We were encourage to use the "Give Thanks" from the Thanksgiving Cricut cartridge or.any "Give Thanks" sentiment.  Really like this Thanksgiving cartridge.  I hand cut the banner shape card and used an EK success border punch for the scallop edge.  I then used leftover scraps to cut these cute leaves from Straight from the Nest Cricut cartridge for the really cool leaves.

I really like how this came out, so I did another one that I needed.

Added some brads for the banner and buttons to the leaves, FUN!!!  I can't believe Thanksgiving is in a few days! So much to do and so very little time to do it all!

Hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving week!

Supplies:
leaves - cut using Straight from the Nest Cricut Cartridge
"Give Thanks" - cut using Thanksgiving Cartridge Winter collection
DCWV texture paper, DCWV Autumn Stack 2010
J's assorted buttons
EK Success scallop edge punch

July Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

Happy 4th of July!!!! :) In light of that, this is the scrapbook page for the month of July created for my 2009 S.E.I. Calendar.

Inspiration for this page came quickly after taking a look at this week's challenge at Bitten by the Bug (BBTB), where Regina challenged us to use the freedom cut from the Graphically Speaking cartridge. The BBTB design team did a GREAT job with their various projects using this cut. I combined this cut with a cut from my new Stand and Salute cartridge that I also bought after seeing BBTB highlight it; it has a bunch of cuts that I could see myself using! :) I used a white gel pen to dress up the freedom cut and added a border of gems for fun.

Enjoyed myself so much making this page, thinking about all that I am grateful for.

Have a great relaxing weekend!

Happy Bday Card up for another challenge

I look forward to Sunday's Bitten by the Bug (BBTB) posts, where Regina introduces that week's Cricut challenge and I get to see what the ladies in the design team came up with to inspire the rest of us :) ...

But this week, it was a cut that I have recently used! :) and as it turns out for another challenge involving Regina :) .... I call that LUCK!

This week BBTB Challenge we were to use the HAPPY BIRTHDAY cut from Hello Kitty Greetings :); this is the card I recently made using that cut :) ...

In the Highway of Life You Carry the Gift

The challenge this week at Bitten by the Bug (BBTB) is to make a card using the Highway Sign from the Cricut Going Places cartridge. Regina did it again, another great challenge! I had these scraps sitting on my desk from my previous TCP card (a color challenge) - the blue DCWV PP had a glitter swirl that caught my eye and I had to do something with it.

So continuing to use my scraps, I made this card for my sister. She is going through some hurdles in life right now and this is reminder that in the highway of life she carries the gift of those who love her and always want to see her succeed in life :) ...

The highway sign cut by my darling Cricut made a perfect frame for this A MUSE cute little VW bug stamp; yellow is appropriate because my sister use to have a yellow car, we dubbed it the banana boat. Ahh... memories. The gift on top of it was just too perfect! :) I used the wavy dotted punch to show how the road of life is full of up and downs :) And this of course will be sent with love.

The PP, the shape of the card and the ribbon is very much like a typical A MUSE card; so overall this card came together just right :) ... (thanks Tracy for the many splendid classes, I have learned A LOT!)

Supplies:
Car with gift - A MUSE Simple Thoughts
"with love" - A MUSE Simple Thoughts
Highway Sign- cut at 2 3/8'' using Going Places cartridge
A MUSE gems
EK Dotted Wave edge punch
PP is DCWV Sweet Stack and Spring 2007 Stack

{heart} Owl Vday Card for DH

For the mailbox full of love notes I made for vday, I wanted to make a card that went along with it - so I reuse the CUTE owl from Storybook and tried to keep the same theme going.

I am HOOKED on Bitten by the Bug (BBTB) weekly challenges where the design team is asked by Regina to use a certain cartridge and die cut. I look forward to their post every Sunday! For the week of valentines, the cartridge was Home Accents and the die cut was "LOVE" where the "LVE" had to be in brown. This was PERFECT idea for my card and I went with it :)....

Valentine's Day Card for DH

This was my last year V-day card for my husband. I put a lot of thought on the card and he loved it. Done with the Cricut machine and the Design Studio to make sure everything would fit together. I wanted to remind him I'm his love monkey - LOL :).... Hugs Hugs and more Hugs.

I am loving the Martha Stewart punch; so delicate - it gives the card a special touch. I also enjoyed using the CUTE monkey from CuttleKids along with the heart and the swirl embossing folders from Cuttlebug. I really love it when I get to use different elements in one project; especially when I get to mix and match stamps and diecuts-- FUN!!!
