Oct Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

A bit late in posting the calendar layout created for the month of October.  This is my hubby and I celebrating and doing the fancy dinner thing ;)... a very special moment shared.

Like the vibrant colors here along with the butterfly motifs and rub-ons.  I added some grey gems to add  a bit of fanciness to it.  I also used one of my cuttlebug edge folders for an added sentiment.

Sept Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

I forgot to post this calendar layout created for the month of September. This is a picture of my bff who courageously went back to school for a 360 career change. We are routing for her!

Really like the bright colors and the chipboard apple accent that came with this BasicGrey calendar kit.  The retro patterns and those bright colors are so much like her personality that I new which picture I wanted to use as soon as I saw the predesign layout.  I will need to decide whether or not to buy the same line calendar kit for 2011.  So far, it looks like I will because there are less choices out there than last year.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

August Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

This is my scrapbook calendar page for the month of August.  I took this picture from a trip we did a few years ago.  It was special and it was FUN, but most importantly, it was an experience the hubby and I got to share together.

When I saw the patterns and colors of this month's predesign BasicGrey calendar kit layout, I immediately knew it would work with this picture. I used Cricut My World cartridge to cut out the pyramids; and then added the moon and star to make the desert scene on top.  The chipboard stars and sentiment were included with the calendar kit; and worked in so perfectly with the theme I of the page.  Then I cut out the  word "jOURney" using Cricut Graphically Speaking cartridge; which could also be read OUR journey.  In my opinion, this cartridge is perfect for scrapbooking because of all its fun words and sayings :)...

This page came together pretty quickly and I'm thrilled with how it came out!

Thanks for stopping by and have a good Monday!

July Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

Realized I had not posted my calendar scrapbook page for the month of July.  Really like the fun bubbly colors of this layout.

The "splashin'" is pink chipboard letters included in this calendar kit.  The picture is of my sister-in-law and my nieces enjoying a cool dip in the pool.  I added some flip-flops cut using my Cricut Life is a Beach cartridge.  I used an EK bubble edge punch on the photo frame to continue the bubble theme.

A FUN layout that came together nicely :)!

June Month Scrapbook Calendar Page/TCP Tuesday

I had a chance today to work on my June scrapbook calendar page, and I was inspired to participate in this week TCP Tuesday challenge where our hostess Amy Rohl, from Ink About Me, wanted us to use WOOD in a project.  I found this picture of my hubby from a few years back, standing underneath and inside a massive redwood tree when he visited Drive-Thru Tree Park in Legget, Ca.  It is so amazing, so NUTS to see these redwood trees in all their grandeur.

Cat's Pajamas Happy Camper stamp set worked nicely with the theme of this layout.  Especially the sentiment, because all you can think about when you see how majestic these redwoods are, is "this is NUTS!" :).  I also used the cute little squirrel, climbing up the tree and stamped a few nuts to go with the sentiment :).  I used a piece of coordinating TCP ribbon embellie with a button I sanded to make it more "wood" looking :).

This was a great page to put together! Thanks for stopping by and hope that your holiday weekend has been a FUN one!

May Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

This weekend I was able to work on scrapbook page for the month of May.  It came together pretty quickly, this predesign layout just worked for me, really love the colors!  I quickly found this picture that I really like of my husband and his mother. I admire their relationship, based on mutual respect, they are pretty close.

Not just because she is my mother-in-law, but I have come to admire her as a person, she showers her kids with love and those who are lucky to know her.

Thanks for stopping by!

April Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

I got a few moments yesterday to work on April calendar page.  Really like this picture and thought it would work great with this month layout.  Per the previous post, I used Cricut Walk in My Garden cartridge to cut a daffodil in representation of the ones we are so proud of growing...with help! :) LOL!

This was a fun layout, had a great time making this page.  Now we are trying to patientely wait for our tullips to grow... we are hopeful! :)

March Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

Below is this month calendar page using BasicGrey 2010 Calenar Kit. Really like the color and pattern paper used in this layout; nice combination of retro and vintage.  I used my Cricut Home Accents to add a whimsical butterfly with a trail of flourish to the corner of the photo - it gives the layout dimension and a fun touch!

The photo is of last year's bday party where my hubby lovingly placed that party hat on my head and I wore it practically all evening despite myself! :)   Ah, memories! :)

Really do love and appreciate the rubon quote:

it's all the fun"

This is how it turned out :)

Really like the bright colors and patterns of this existing layout.  I had FUN adding the hearts and the kissing lips cut with the Cricut Love Struck cartridge.  This is my valentine holding last year vday card I made him; now if only I can find time to make his vday card for this Sunday, ahhhh! :)

January Month Scrapbook Calendar Page

This weekend I got  a chance to work on this month calendar page, with my new BasicGrey 2010 Calenar Kit.  The kit comes with pretty much everything but you can still find space for you to put small touches.  It measures 8''x8''; not my usual 12''x12'' page so it took a bit to get use to and not as much room for personal touches; but in the end I'm pretty happy about the results.

The predesign layout had a FUN color combination that matched nicely to an old DCWV Christmas Stack paper I had. So I was able to use my Cricut Winter Woodland cartridge to cut this adorable matching snowman.  Really like this snowman diecut, and it scales nicely, fitting just right in this small space I needed to fill.  I used Martha Stewart snowflake punch to add more dimension to the chipboard circles included in the kit.  I added blue gems to dress up the snowflakes a bit.

Fun time and a nice start to my 2010 scrapbook calendar! :)  Will take a bit to get use to the smaller layout but looking forward to the challenge :)...

Have a good rest of the week! :)
