This week I need to make a few thank you cards and would like to make them all different :) - hope time allows it!
This is my take on this sketch:
So for starters, I turned to this week's Eat Sleep Stamp ESS Sketch #30 - another FUN sketch from Tracy Clemente. The sketch was easy to work with :)!
For this card I decided to use the Hero Arts Cupcakes clear stamp set - this set has some really cute cupcake stamps and they are so useful to have - I find myself using them quite a bit for birthday cards for all ages!
Also for this card, I decided to use my nestabilities for the first time! Not sure why I have avoided using them until now but somehow I had done without them - storing them in my drawer all this time :) They cut pretty good when using my Cuttlebug but I may need to pad the sandwich more to get the embossing to show a deeper embossed look.
I used this fun DCWV Nana's Kids stack glitter pattern paper, it has an amazing shine to it. I then used Pearlescent Watercolor to color the icing of the cupcake and paper pieced the cupcake bottom. I continued to use those prisma flowers and I happen to have one that matched the pp perfectly :). The ribbon was recycled from a gift and was the perfect color to give a bit of contrast to this card. I used a strip of PP from DCWV Sweet stack; it reminded me of a tablecloth and the cupcake is sitting on top :).
A fun festive card that has a lot of shimmer to it! and came together fast:) Thanks for stopping by!

Delicious!!! Love that spar-kay-lay DP and how you pulled colours out of it to use in your card. I am really getting into HA stamps (I sense another serious addiction!)...the cupcake set is so cute! Fabuous job on Tracy's sketch challenge...TFS! Tinla
Yummy!! I'm so lovin' the patterned paper you used. The cupcake is literally the icing on top. Great job with this weeks sketch. Thank you for playing along.
