Easter Egg Shape Cuttlebug Challenge

I have seen a few Easter egg shape cards and I have been meaning to make one. This Easter, this is the card I made for my in-laws. I was inspired by this week's Cuttlebug Challenges Blogspot (Be Inspired 26) to use vellum. I used both white vellum and a thicker green vellum made by Canson called Effects Papercraft (I picked it up at M's a while ago) - great elegant thick vellum, with a nice shimmer look to it.

The PP is from DCWV The Luxury Stack, which also has a shimmer to it. I used Cuttlebug Floral Borders dies that I picked up quite a while ago and NEVER have used. It cut the vellum nicely and the dainty flowers came out perfectly. I cut the egg using my Cricut and "cracked" it by hand :). I then used 3D Paint to add blue dots to the dainty flowers. The "EASTER" stamp is a studio G stamp that was a great find, fits nicely to the elegant look I was after :).

As I was finishing writing this post (that I started last Sat. :)), I realize that at The Cuttlebug Spot, the challenge (challenge #26: Shape It!!) for this week (posted on Monday), is to make a card that is not a square or a rectangle - my Egg card is up for that challenge as well! :)

This card wrapped up the last of the Easter cards I had to make! :)

Supplies:
egg - Cricut Doodlecharm cartridge
"EASTER" - studio G
Cuttlebug Floral Borders dies
DCWV The Luxury Stack
Canson Effects Papercraft (Pealescent thick vellum)
Staedtler white vellum
Brilliance Pearlescent Olive ink
Scribbles 3D Paint Shiny Medium Blue
