This week I need to make a few thank you cards and would like to make them all different :) - hope time allows it!
This is my take on this sketch:
So for starters, I turned to this week's Eat Sleep Stamp ESS Sketch #30 - another FUN sketch from Tracy Clemente. The sketch was easy to work with :)!
For this card I decided to use the Hero Arts Cupcakes clear stamp set - this set has some really cute cupcake stamps and they are so useful to have - I find myself using them quite a bit for birthday cards for all ages!
Also for this card, I decided to use my nestabilities for the first time! Not sure why I have avoided using them until now but somehow I had done without them - storing them in my drawer all this time :) They cut pretty good when using my Cuttlebug but I may need to pad the sandwich more to get the embossing to show a deeper embossed look.
I used this fun DCWV Nana's Kids stack glitter pattern paper, it has an amazing shine to it. I then used Pearlescent Watercolor to color the icing of the cupcake and paper pieced the cupcake bottom. I continued to use those prisma flowers and I happen to have one that matched the pp perfectly :). The ribbon was recycled from a gift and was the perfect color to give a bit of contrast to this card. I used a strip of PP from DCWV Sweet stack; it reminded me of a tablecloth and the cupcake is sitting on top :).
A fun festive card that has a lot of shimmer to it! and came together fast:) Thanks for stopping by!
